Self sabotage

Self sabotage at work

Are you happy at work?
Do you feel fulfilled?
Are you able to get the promotion you want and deserve?
No?
Do you find yourself stuck in your comfort zone whilst others overtake you?
Then you could be sabotaging yourself.
Behaviour is said to be self-sabotaging when it creates problems and interferes with your goals. Self-sabotaging behaviours include things such as procrastination, reliance on alcohol and stimulants, negative self-talk such as "I am not good enough", spending your time talking rather than doing and not investing or spending time on yourself.

In simple terms it is like a split in your personality with half of you wanting to succeed and move onto other things whereas the other half of you would rather you stayed in your comfort zone where it's safe.
Whilst it is normal to initially resist change problems can occur when you begin to fear that change, this can be referred to as a fear of success.
These fears are often deeply rooted and can be due to a fear of how others may view you if you are successful or that you have been brought up to be modest with the view that   success is a bad thing.
You have already taken the first step to reversing this self-sabotage by recognising this is what you do and deciding enough is enough.
The second step is to invest time and energy in yourself to take you out of your comfort zone and into a successful future.
We can empower you to help you realise your full potential.
By identifying the reasons behind your self-sabotage we can then work to release these behaviours effectively and gently.
Unlike other therapies you don't have to spend hours talking about your problems, all you need is a willingness to improve your current situation.
